St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering (Autonomous) affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, is owned, administered and run by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kuzhithurai, under the able leadership of the Bishop, Most. Rev. Dr. Albert Anasthas, the present Chairman of the college, from the bifurcation of the Diocese of Kuzhithurai from the Diocese of Kottar in December, 2014. SXCCE was started in 1998 by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kottar, under the nurturing leadership of (the Late) Bishop, Most. Rev. Dr. Leon A. Tharmaraj, who coordinated the initiatives and efforts of the laity and the clergy of the diocese.
