The School Of The Good Shepherd, affiliated to The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE-Affiliation No. 930703) was started in 2002 as a co-education school attached to the Good Shepherd Kindergarten.
The School at Lakeside Akkulam, Trivandrum is situated on a panoramic hill slope by the side of the Akkulam Lake, a beauty spot within the city limits and just a kilometre away from the famous children’s Park at Akkulam and from the Kazhakoottam – Kovalam bypass Road.
The foundation stone for The School Of The Good Shepherd was laid at Lakeside, Akkulam on 19 May, 2005. Construction was completed by November and Classes I to VI were shifted to this present locale on 23 Nov 2005. Classes VII and VIII were added in 2006. The CBSE accorded affiliation to the School in January 2007 (Code No.930703). Students to Class IX were admitted during the Year 2007-2008. The very first batch of class X with 25 students appeared for the Board Examination in 2008-2009 and produced result of hundred percent pass. Affiliation to the Senior Secondary level was obtained in April 2009 and Std. XI was started in 2009. Presently we have Science, Commerce and Humanities streams in the Senior Secondary classes.
