In 1987, Mr. P.V. Sivan Nair initiated Thriveni Academy as a fully residential school sprawling over 1000 acres of land, with extensive infrastructure capable of accommodating over 10,000 students. Operated by MMFG (Madras Motor Finance Guarantee) Company, headquartered in Mylapore, Chennai, the school experienced remarkable growth from 1987 to 1997. It attracted students from various parts of India, particularly the Northeastern states such as Assam, West Bengal, Nagaland, Manipur, and Sikkim. Through nationwide roadshows and a diverse range of extracurricular activities, sports facilities, and quality dining, Thriveni Academy became a sought-after educational institution for holistic child development.
Comprising three main buildings named Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswathi, the school continues its mission under the leadership of Principal M.P. Anand. Thriveni Academy, affiliated with the CBSE syllabus, provides education to rural children from Vadakkupattu village and surrounding areas in Oragadam, Kanchipuram district. It operates transportation services covering approximately 70 villages and offers activity-based learning, sports coaching, and co-curricular activities like silambam, karate, and cooking, all at an affordable fee structure. Today, with more than 1400 enrolled students, Thriveni Academy is managed by the Hiranandani Group, maintaining its commitment to educational excellence and community service.
