Following the ideals of Swami Dayananda Saraswathi, D.A.V. School was started in 1985 at Adambakkam.To impart quality education in rural areas too, D.A.V. School at Santhavelur was started in the year 2009 with classes from Pre KG. to I Standard.Now the school has grown to a strength about 1050 students and 45 teachers with classes from Pre KG. to XI Standard.Each year lays the foundation for ideas in the years to come. D.A.V. School, Santhavelur is growing by leaps and bounds.Due to the untiring efforts of the Management and Teachers as well as the great support from parents, from a humble beginning – Pre KG. to I Standard today this school has grown to the extent of having this school has grown to the extent of having classes up to XII Standard. The first batch of XII std. appeared for the Board examination in the year March 2024.We are quite sure that with the support of all the well wishers, D.A.V. School, Santhavelur will grow even larger even faster.The children here are very fortunate to be in a school like this with spacious classrooms and a serene atmosphere.
