About
Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, established on 3 February 1930 by Sri T. S. Avinashilingam, began in a humble setting with just ₹5.75 and one student. Mahatma Gandhi laid the foundation stone in 1934 and the institution formally joined the Ramakrishna Mission in early 1935. Today, it’s spread over approximately 300 acres, 19 km from Coimbatore city on the Ooty highway, housing about 15 educational institutions across pre-school to doctoral levels.
