KGBV Makkuva, established in 2006, is a fully residential girls’ school under the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya scheme, offering education from Classes VI to XII in Telugu medium. Located in Mulakkayavalasa village of Makkuva Mandal, the school is managed by the AP Samagra Shiksha Society and aims to serve girls from disadvantaged backgrounds in rural tribal areas. With around nine female teachers, the institution provides mid-day meals and boarding, though infrastructure is modest—with limited classroom buildings, no library, no computers, restricted drinking water, and no digital learning facilities. Despite low infrastructure, it functions under CBSE affiliation and is committed to improving educational outcomes for its students through structured state-supported programs.
