The Institute Of Road and Transport Polytechnic College (Bargur) was established in the year 1992. It is run by Institute of Road Transport, Taramani, Chennai, under the control of State Transport Department , Government of TamilNadu. FROM 09-02-2023, THIS POLYTECHNIC WAS CONVERTED AS GOVERNMENT POLYTECHINC COLLEGE,BARGUR . The Institute is located at Chettipalli village in Chennai - Bangalore National highways( NH 46) . It is 10 km from Krishnagiri and 7 km from Bargur.
