The Modern College, located in Porompat, Imphal East, Manipur, is a well-established undergraduate institution affiliated with Manipur University. Founded on August 8, 1963, the college has a rich history and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It was the first college in Manipur to be assessed and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), receiving a 'B' grade in both its initial accreditation and subsequent re-accreditation in 2014.
