K. B. Women's College, a premier educational institution for women in Hazaribag is a constituent unit of Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag, Jharkhand, founded in 1963. It was then known as the 'Women's College' and later on, the college shifted to its present premises and was renamed as 'Krishna Bhallabh Women's College'. It is situated in the heart of the Hazaribag town of the North Chotanagpur Division. It is surrounded by Koderma district in the North, Ramgarh district in the South, Giridih district in the East and Chatra district in the West. Hazaribag is a glorious city known for its flora and fauna, fabulous greeneries, enchanting hills, lakes, springs, and plenty of medicinal plants and mineral resources that have been serving humanity as a whole. It was named after an active freedom fighter Shri Krishna Ballabh Sahay, who after Indian Independence became the Revenue Minister of Bihar and then became the third Chief Minister of unified Bihar. He had contributed a lot to enact a law to abolish the Zamindari system from the state.
