Established in 2010, NIFT Varanasi is closely linked with the region’s famous Banarasi sarees, and it focuses on combining traditional weaving techniques with modern fashion design. The campus offers a range of programs in fashion and textile design and encourages students to explore both traditional and contemporary design practices. Students are trained to understand the global significance of Indian textiles and contribute to the fashion industry's growth.
