In this God-fearing and elegant town, the institution was established with the motivation offered by Mr. S. G. Jayaraj Chelladurai in the millennium year 2001, under the Tirunelveli Diocese Trust Association, with the Motto "Make Technology Reachable & Affordable to All". The Institution is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The institution is located near Nazareth - Sathankulam Highway, in 25 Acres of land area, and is well connected with Tirunelveli & Thoothukudi within 40 - 45 km by road & rail. With the changing scenario, the institute has been made available for the rural students. At present, it is functioning very well under the leadership of Mr. J. Jeyakumar Ruban as Correspondent and Dr. S. Jeyakumar as the Principal. The Institution has met 18 graduations. And now it comes under the administration of Thoothukudi - Nazareth Diocese. To be proud, this is the first and premier Engineering College of the Diocese.
In the past two and a half decades it has pioneered as a reputed engineering institution, with an emphasize on the multifaceted and skilful development of its students. Over the period, Jayaraj Annapackiam CSI College of Engineering has gained expertise through its trained and experienced faculty in the fields of Information Technology, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science and General Engineering & Sciences.
