Sngap Syiem College, Mawkyrwat was set up by the Maharam Syiemship Higher Education (MSHEA) in April, 1985 as a Junior College. It named after Sngap Syiem, the Syiem (king) of Hima Maharam and the freedom fighter against the British regime.
