KRNNIVSA was established in 2014 by the Government of Kerala as a premier training and research institute for film, television, and digital media. Located in Kottayam, the institute was named after former President K. R. Narayanan and envisioned as a hub for excellence in visual storytelling and technology.
The institute offers professional diploma and postgraduate diploma programs in direction, screenwriting, cinematography, editing, audiography, acting, animation, and visual effects. It features high-end studios, screening rooms, and an immersive academic environment where students are mentored by industry professionals.
