SRM University Sikkim is a part of the SRM Group of Institutions and came into existence in the year 2013. The University is NAAC–accredited and UGC – approved. The University has obtained a global perspective both in terms of cultural and academic inputs in order to meet the challenges created by modern society. The key objective of the University is to encourage young learners to accomplish a high degree in their academics and achieve great success in their personal and professional lives. The University desires to impart higher education to the majority of the young generation by implementing a unique learner-centric education model. It also aims to make education industry-oriented, inclusive, and socially relevant in all respects. The academic programs offered by it have been designed to be industry-relevant and job-oriented so that students will have the opportunity to gain exposure to multiple learning experiences. SRM University Sikkim organises a Campus Exchange Program under which final-year students are taken to SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, Chennai for a month to provide them exposure to skills, academics, career, industries, and culture
