Originally established as the Banaras Engineering College in 1919, it later became the Institute of Technology under Banaras Hindu University and was designated as an IIT in 2012.The Department of Architecture, Planning & Design offers a B.Arch program with an interdisciplinary approach. The curriculum integrates architecture with planning, sustainability, and digital tools for a future-ready education.
