Bhiwani Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS) was established in 2000 by Sh. Shashi Ranjan Parmar and Sh. Om Prakash Bahalwala. The institution, part of the BITS Group of Institutions, aimed to provide quality higher education in Haryana. It includes an engineering college, a polytechnic, a B.Ed. college for women, and an international school. The group also plans to establish a law college and a degree college for women, and has initiated the process for a university.
