College is situated in the Kalyan city surrounded by green paddy fields. To fulfil the growing need of education at HSC and Degree level in Kalyan Seth Hirachand Mutha Shaikshanik Trust was established in the year 2000 and in 2002. Seth Hirachand Mutha College of Arts, Commerce and Science came into existence. The main motto of this education institution is to impart the education for PG to KG in the city of Kalyan with a commitment to high quality education and research.
The institution is committed to provide high class amenities like laboratories, computer lab, sophisticated Conference room, Gymnasium, Auditorium, Library with E- technology etc. In the Academic year 2016-17 the institute introduced M.Com affiliated to Mumbai University along with Post Graduation in Commerce the institute has placed the application to the Mumbai University for other faculty PG courses
