Born in the 1970s as an institution of Islamic wisdom and centre for learning, Islahiya bloomed with the dedicated works of one of the greatest orators and scholars like K.C Abdulla Moulavi along with a group of dedicated social activists in and around Chennamangallur, in the Malabar region of Kerala. Together, they fulfilled the long-forgotten void of a comprehensive Islamic education system instilling the humanitarian and social values to guide the generations after the independence of the nation.For the first time in the history of Kerala, the education centre served ample possibilities for moral studies, cultural expansion and quality education, accommodating young learners in and around Kerala.
