Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Tirupati was established in the year 1965. Spread over a sprawling area of 13 acres, this single block school has 40 classrooms and 4 playgrounds. The school is shift-based. Shift 1 has classes from class 1 to 12 affiliated to CBSE, all classes up to 10 have 3 departments and two departments each in class 11 and 12. The school offers Science and Commerce streams at +2 level. Shift 2 has classes from class 1 to 10 with one department each. With around 1280 students and 40 regular staff, the school has the distinction of being the oldest school in the Hyderabad region. There are separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science and one Child Science. Also, three computer laboratories are currently functioning. Under the guidance of our highly qualified and experienced Principal, the teachers are striving hard for better results in each class every year.
