Dr. Mundkur Ramanna Shetty Memorial English Medium High School was established by the Nitte Education Trust on June 15, 1995 at the Bunts Hostel building in Mulki. The School was later shifted to Thokur on January 1, 1999. Named after late Dr. M Ramanna Shetty, a popular physician, the School was founded by the Trust with the idea of offering quality education to boys and girls residing in the rural areas of Mulki.
