CherupushpaCentral School, Ayoor, situated on the city where different cultures and and religious heritage merged together, was founded by His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Benedict Mar Gregorios, the Late Metropolitan Archbishop of Trivandrum, in 1971 when Rev.Fr.Joseph Thachettu was the Vicar of Ayoor Parish. At present the school is owned and managed by the Malankara Catholic Educational Society of the Archdiocese of Trivandrum with His Eminence Baselios Cardinal Cleemis Catholicos as the Manager and Patron.
Cherupushpa Central School, Ayoor is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) New Delhi, vide affiliation No.930872 and school code. 75845. Classes from LKG to X are offered here. The curriculum followed in the school is purely that of CBSE, on par with the National Curriculum framework 2005 and National Education Policy. The school is an English Medium School. However Malayalam and Hindi are given due importance.
