Mar Baselios School was founded with a view of sustaining the long –cherished desire of a remote hamlet to have a school to cater to their academic needs. Established in 1999, it is the largest among its kind in a 15 km circumference. The founder who was an academician himself had this in mind when he conceived the idea of a school in rustic surroundings. The lamp has been on the pedestal since it was inaugurated by the then C.B.C.I President, His Grace Cyril Mar Baselios. That was a simple beginning reminding us of the dictum "The beginning of all things are small."
Mar Baselios School, Maruthamonpally was founded in 1999 and is dedicated to St. Basil, the Doctor of the church. The School is registered to the Malankara Catholic Education Society of the Archdiocese of Trivandrum coming under the Diocese of Mavelikara, which is a registered society for the unaided CBSE Schools. His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Joshua Mar Ignathios (The Bishop of Mavelikara Diocese) is our patron. The school follows the syllabus of CBSE in India.
