Womens Associations For Rural Development - TNAU

About

Rural Women Development Trust is a women-led nonprofit organization in Tharamanagalam, Salem District of Tamil Nadu. Dedicated members of the Marginalised Dalit Arunthathiyar community, started the organization in 2005, and registered under Indian trust Act. Ever since our inception, we have collaborated with many like-minded NGOs, and government bodies to address the social injustices faced by the marginalised dalit Arunthathiyar community, and help them to attain socio-economic, political, and educational status in the society. Predominantly, we work to educate children, empower women, rescue and rehabilitate bonded labourer women-an exploited social class. Through community mobilization, we evaluate activities and ensure that the projects are carried out for the sustainable development of the community.
