Alamelu Ammal Educational Trust was established in 1998 at Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu. Under this trust, Andavar School of Nursing was established in 2008, Andavar College of Nursing was established in 2017 and Andavar College of ANM was established in 2018. The Chairman of the Trust is Rtn. Mr. S. Natarajan, M.Com. These institutions are approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu and recognized by both the Indian Nursing Council (New Delhi) and the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council (Chennai). The College of Nursing is also affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.
