Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU), established on May 1, 1983, is a public state university located in Amravati, Maharashtra. Named after the social reformer Sant Gadge Baba, the university serves the educational needs of the Vidarbha region, encompassing the districts of Amravati, Akola, Yavatmal, Buldhana, and Washim. The expansive campus spans approximately 480 acres and houses over 380 affiliated colleges, catering to more than 3.5 lakh students.
