Uttaranchal University, established in 2013 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, is a private research university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956. The university has been accredited with an "A+" grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) .
