About
Originally established as Rohtak University in 1976 by Act No. 25 of 1975 of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, it was renamed Maharshi Dayanand University in 1977 to honor the social reformer Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati.
MDU offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across various disciplines. The university is committed to promoting interdisciplinary higher education and research.
