Established on November 1, 1999, by the Government of Rajasthan, MPUAT is located in Udaipur. It was formed by splitting the Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner, to focus on the southern and southeastern regions of Rajasthan. Named after the legendary Rajput warrior Maharana Pratap, the university aims to advance agricultural education and research.
MPUAT offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in agriculture, horticulture, veterinary science, and related disciplines. The university is dedicated to enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability through education, research, and extension activities.
