Eklavya University was established in the year 2000 by a group of social workers and academicians. The university, promoted by the Ojaswini Samdarshi Nyas, aims to provide high-quality education, training, and research opportunities, with a focus on the sustainable development of the Bundelkhand region. The university's founding group chose the name Eklavya, inspired by the legendary adivasi figure who taught himself archery, to embody the spirit of self-directed learning and problem-solving
