Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), formerly the University of Indore, was established in 1964 by an Act of the Madhya Pradesh Legislature and is a prominent university in Central India. It was inaugurated in 1964 by Dr. Zakir Hussain, the then Vice President of India.
