About

Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) was established in 2012 by the Delhi State Legislature Act. It was originally founded as the Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT) in 1998 by the Directorate of Training and Technical Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. IGIT was the first engineering college exclusively for women in Delhi. In 2002, it became a constituent college of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. IGDTUW is the only government technical university for women in India.
