Founded in December 1988 as an offshoot of the Kerala State Film Development Corporation, C‑DIT is a government‑established autonomous body under the Kerala Department of Electronics and IT. It began with government-funded R&D in film and electronics, and science communication via video, later expanding into full IT and imaging solutions for public sector agencies.
Today, C‑DIT serves as Kerala’s total solutions provider in imaging, software, e‑governance, new media production, ICT services, and digital communications, while also offering media‑training and development programs.
