IGDTUW, established in 2013, evolved from the former Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (1998) in Delhi. It is the first women's technical university in India and is recognized for academic excellence.The architecture department offers programs that emphasize gender inclusion in the design industry, urban resilience, and technological innovation. It promotes studio learning, research, and entrepreneurship among women architects.
